I had wanted to try them because i have mild red-green color blindness, so my eyes genetically have less of some of the color cones, but the glasses can boost colors so you see them better. It would be like going from a washed out picture to a more vivid oled TV picture or something like that.

I had the exact same experience when I first wore glasses.
I had very bad eye sight my entire life, and it wasn't until the age of 18 I realised "hang on something is definitely wrong" - I went to the optometrist and had some tests done and found out I had bad astigmatism.
A short time later my glasses arrived, and I remember putting them on and being a passenger while my mum was driving, staring at the window and looking at leaves on a tree for the very first time.
I was shocked at how beautiful it was and started tearing up as I didn't realise up until that point that I had been missing out.
