Who else doesn’t have a gun?

How will you protect yourself and your family if **** hits the fan?

Been in the US for 15 years now, and damn, I should have known better.

Is there any way for me to find a gun and ammo at this point? What’s my best bet?

****s scary. You guys keep making these posts that everything is sold out.

You don't need a gun to kill a person, just makes it a bit easier.

Nice knowing you OP.

I'm only moderately proficient with one, so if you're breaking into my house, you have a 33/33/34 chance of me:

1. Missing
2. Shooting off your balls.
3. Headshot

Britcel checking in here. Guns are illegal here and unlicensed possession of one is usually minimum of 5 years or something stupid like that

Luckily our gun crime is next to nothing and rioters, home-breakers etc are extremely unlikely to have them

Still feel like I'd feel much less vulnerable with one though...

Long guns coming out the wazoo because anything coming to my house to do damage will be black, but it will have four legs and claws.

Have restricted license, and am the only non law enforcement person able to open carry a handgun in Canada (trapper for bear protection)

But have not purchased a handgun yet.

VA has had some recent gun law changes so check with someone local but I'm pretty sure you still don't need a license to buy a pistol there and you can still get ARs.... if you can find them. You should just be able to go to your local gun store and pick something up same day provided you can pass a background check

I had 10 (mostly ARs/AKs) before the boating accident. Lost the boat as well.

OP, check armslist for face-to-face deals with other owners if you have the proper state license and such.

Let's put it like this: I know probably hundreds of people - in real life - and none of them has a gun.

Many of them served in the army. So they know how to use a gun.

But then, we don't live in third world ****holes like tbe US where we'd need a gun.

I never knew this until this year I started looking into getting a gun. It's costly, time-consuming and essentially pointless.
regular guns are easier. Very lax laws in areas too. People dont realize that if I am going hunting there is no law that prevents me from driving with an unloaded gun across my lap, with ammo in the cupholder.

Handguns, ya agree. Kind of pointless sunless you live next to a range and really like to shoot.

I finally got my CCW here in TN. I never bothered with it before, but the Man might be looking for excuses to confiscate guns in light of recent events.

I just took an online course, then went to the DMV to fill out a form, then got fingerprinted. Not much to it.

I did a training class two weeks ago on maneuvering with a handgun, taking cover, sight acquisition. I'm going to do one on rifle/carbine in a few weeks also.

Only thing is that is hurting me is the ammo shortage but even then I've been able to get training in.

They already have a registry.
Licensed firearms dealers are required to maintain records of the acquisition and sale of firearms for at least 20 years. The dealer must record, “in bound form,” the purchase or other acquisition of a firearm no later than the close of the next business day following the purchase or acquisition. The dealer must similarly record the sale or other disposition of a firearm not later than seven days following the date of such transaction and retain Form 4473, the Firearms Transaction Record. When a firearms business is discontinued, these records are delivered to the successor or, if none exists, to the Attorney General.
After those 20 years, they can destroy, keep, or give the records to the ATF for storage in a warehouse. They are probably pressured to not destroy them since they would help in catching criminals, and treasonous politicians prefer security over freedom. Only thing safe are “ghost guns”.

Just look local in your area. I paid $125 each for 4 hour blocks of training. Well worth it.

Lol at not having a gun in 2020. Smart people realized this would happen decades ago and have stockpiles of guns and ammo to support a small militia.

Sucks to suck. Ill sell you an AR for 10k
