The reason the cops allowed Jacob Blake walk to his car was because...
...he was holding a knife
Here's what happened in the scene: Jacob Blake was thrown to the ground by the cops after getting arrested for a rape charge. He broke free when the cops noticed he was holding a knife in his hands. The cops yelled at him to drop the weapon and his family also cried drop it. Instead, he walked towards his car acting as if he was going to grab a pistol. When he entered the vehicle he was shot 7 times. The reason they kept their distance instead of restraining him was because he was equipped with a deadly weapon.
People have died over this and property has been burnt to the ground.
