Lived underneath a female poilice officer and a male Highway patrolman. When they werent watching tv with their surround sound loud as fukking fuk, they were having shouting matches. Then when the guy moved out, the kids would come over every other weekend and would be home alone all day and made So. Much. Fukking Noise. They would run back and forth up and down the apt hallway from living room to back master bedroom. I'd bang on the ceiling and those little chits would stomp back.

I left a note rather than going to the apartment managers. At the apt i lived at before, the downstairs neighbor apparently complained about me and my roommate all the time because the courtesy officer (who was friends with my roommate) came by one night when she complained. We used to keep out balcony and main door open to keep a breeze going through and the officer stood there for almost 10 min listening and could hear us talking but couldnt make out what we were saying. So he let us know what was going on. His wife worked int he office so after that, they never took the downstairs neighbor's noise complaint serious again and told them to lighten the fuk up. Told them "Two 6+' foot dudes on the 2nd floor who (combined) weighed 500 lbs are gonna make some noise walking around."

So I figured, since this lady was a cop and her man is a Highway patrolman, i'll just talk to her/him and try and make a friend in case I need a speeding ticket taken care of.

My ******* next door neighbor plays music all day and make a lot of noise too. I have called the cops many times but as soon as they leave, he goes back right at it.

so hard to deal with this in the western world. i deal with it a lot over at my place. have talked to them, have yelled at them, have talked to building management over and over, been goin on for a year. in japan, i just emailed the building management once about noise, and the issue was fixed the next day and got I got free rent for the dates the neighbors were noisy. i was like "wow that worked..." they must've sent yakuza to talk to the neighbors lol was magical

Why call the cops about noise? That's kind of lame op. I'd have just waited till the next time I saw them and let them know they're being noisy. Turning a mole hill into a mountain and making your neighbors hate you.
