Anyone else losing interest in social media?

Especially ******** but all of them, Instagram, Twatter, Snapchat etc.

It's just the same chit over and over again. Look at how great my life is, this is what I ate for lunch today u mad?, people posting their opinions about stuff I don't care about. Look at this cute pupper/doggo, 1 share 1 care etc. please like my profile picture/new status update.

Who gives a fuk about this stuff anymore? The world hasn't moved on since 2009. We live in a world of instant gratification and need for social validation. Everytime I go on a train or bus I try to spot the person who isn't looking down at their phone...it usually takes a while or I fail.

Life is essentially a bunch of silent Asian girls sitting at a lunch table communicating to eachother through their phones.

Social Media was cool back in the mid 2000's when it was just MySpace. Now with ********, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter it's just cancer.

Unfortunately I'm a part of groups that communicate through ******** so it's practically essential for me to have it. I just don't care to use it anymore. Was amazing when I first got it but now it just seems so banal.

I'm introverted by nature so I too like to keep a low profile. Honestly for the average person there is no reason to use social media other than email and a phone for call/texts.

I was always against social media and the likes bs, but in my twenties I realize having social media is helpful for dating. It's essentially a resume where other people can see what type of person you are through the most easily absorbed medium, images. Things move faster now, its the swipe right or left ideology.

That's my theory from someone who doesn't have insta... if anyone has had a different experience, please share.

Edit: and I'm talking about going for the really cute to really beautiful girls in the big cities. Usually they have big social circles and looking "the part" is important

Memes. I’m pretty up to date with literally everything for this one main reason. As for baby pics ect, idgaf and will only drop a like for fellow misc brahs or close friends

Thing is I don’t add women on fb who I’m dating incase things go south...I’ve learnt this from experience and had to unfriend and remove women from my friend groups because we stopped seeing eachother

I get that, but its just a little moment of awkwardness and that's it. The friend group thing is a bit more serious though, that kinda sucks. At this point, it is what it is and I don't think im gonna try to build up my social media.

The funny thing is, everyone is so "cool" online especially the younger generation but I've seen how some of them are in real life, literally awkward and chit. Or some of them think water should part for them just cuz they have X amount of followers. narcissus' downfall was his own vanity.
