BLM: You Will Know Them By Their Fruits

We DO need a major change in this country. But we need one towards unity and shared prosperity, not glorified victimhood and division.

How many people support BLM because they take it at face value and believe that it is a movement actually targeted towards fair treatment of innocent blacks by racist police officers?

Not supporting that would be like being against puppies and sunny days.

If BLM was taking in all these donations and using it for:
- improved community safety and oversight (lights and cameras in high crime areas)

- educational and informational material to increase understanding and acceptance of the black community (study/doc about how black youth are shaped by interactions w/authority?)

- programs to improve education and career opportunities for blacks so that young black men see better choices as achievable

- scholarships for minorities to attend law enforcement training programs to increase the diversity of our police force
Then I would be a BLM supporter. And I would be happy to do business with companies that support them.

If these rich and famous black people were shining a light by getting involved in their local black community- funding projects, acting as mentors - then I would think they are really good people.

If these protesters and rioters were instead creating volunteer community policing organizations offering people a safe escort home, standing on corners filming crime in progress and streaming THAT, cleaning up and beautifying historically black cemeteries- then I would be a BLM supporter.

Instead we see:
- BLM collecting massive donations and spending them on campaign donations while increasing the level of anger and division.

- Famous black people acting out in a public way for social "likes" while endorsing discord and agitation.

- Protesters shouting and bullying bystanders.

- Rioters physically attacking people and destroying property.
None of those actions speaks to actually caring about real people's lives; the quality of those lives or the length of them.

the rest of your post is logical, but that is a completely false premise.

the idea and that police racism is of any statistical significance is just not true. blm activists only cherry pick .000001% of black suspect police encounters and blow them way out of proportion, and now a days they are even protesting justified use of force ONLY becasue the suspect was black, no other facts matter to them.

if you look atmisconduct per police encounterthere is no mistreatment. BLM is garbage in every way.

Marxist hate group run by lesbians.

You watch their rallies just before they turn into riots and its usually led by a black lesbian with a bunch of white women in tow.

Most people agree with the slogan, even though it's always thrown around like brow-beating lip-service at this point. I see a bunch of people chanting that slogan now and just roll my eyes. We fukcing get it, most of us weren't ever anti-black (or anti ANY race, for that matter) to begin with.

If one looks at statistics they'll notice ethnic violence is 90% self-contained. Whites kill whites, blacks kill blacks, etc. And cops killing citizens is a fukcin' minuscule amount, in all actuality. Playing these rare occasions of police murdering citizens (but only the times it's a black guy, gotta force-feed people the narrative it's only them getting wrongfully treated) like sports bloopers is intentionally getting people all riled up.

It's all so idiotic. I'm sure there's pockets of society where black people will be mistreated, and that's terrible. But what about a white dude walking through a hood getting jumped? That's never considered "racially motivated."

People are protesting accountability.That's it.

There is no race issue in 2020. Yeh, there are isolated incidents of racism towards ALL races, but there is not a pandemic where 'drastic change' is needed due to systemic racism. You pussyholes think we'll ever live in a utopia where racism, sexism and homophobia are eradicated? lol good luck

it's embarrassing that people can go on TV/social media and actually complain about how race is an issue in 2020. Almost as embarrassing as when females complain that the gender pay gap is due to sexism.

I would like to have been able to say "Well it's like all movements, there's some good people, and some bad apples"

But with the BLM movement, well firstly, it's clear a lot of them have troubles reasoning well at all... and secondly, from listening to a large amount of them speaking for 5 minutes, it's clear they have ill intentions.

For a large amount of people in the BLM movement, it's not about equality, it's about supremacy

Like I said though, a lot of them have trouble reasoning or rationally looking at problems... they have no place trying to change society when they have problems changing their underwear

To use the common phrase - They need to set their houses in order before they try to change the world. But of course their argument is "We can't change the world because the world(country) is set up in a way that keeps us down in the gutter"

And you know, they might have a point on that last part, but it is 'their' own doing... Minorities from other places suffered from racism in the past and they worked their way out of it. What am I saying here? Well -

Group of people that look like X are causing more havoc in a society than a group of people that look like Y.

Z is a human being who is influenced by his perceptions of what people look like, yes he's stereotyping people, is that a good thing? That's another question... anyway, Z is wanting to employ someone for a job. Who is Z more likely to choose for the job? Y is more than likely going to be his choice.

So how do we overcome this problem? Well, even though we are individuals, and SHOULD be treated as such, people will have biased opinions on you based on what you look like/your ethnicity. In short... the group of X need to stop giving off a bad image. And to some degree, others perhaps should make a reasonable allowance to help them, though this should be optional and not forced. This doesn't include kneeling.

I'll leave you with this one though -

What happens in the situation where the system itself is such that Y and Z naturally do better at it? What am I getting at here? Well to use the inverse - At certain sports group of X totally dominate within that sport, and they naturally rise to the top. Imagine society is a sport that group of X naturally just don't do as well at. And I'm not even saying that's true - The question posed here is "What if that's the case?"
Fak U say? Cheeky kent ya, i'll fakin fak ya, ya lil sloot

So you believe that:

- supporters are aware of the organization's true nature
- widespread support is a lie

Could be. I was referring to the idea that BLM "has a lot of supporters". I get that it looks that way from major media and corporate donations. I've kind of written it off as "low information" and "easily lead sheep" people as opposed to something entirely fabricated.

Why? Because I'm good with a group of people choosing to work together to better their situation and not okay with bullying and shaming?

How do you feel about capitalism then? I think generally the idea is that competition in the marketplace improves the overall quality of the goods and services that are available AND that having a number of different providers improves overall resilience (e.g. when one falls another can step in).

If minority communities step up and "compete" by making their people and spaces better then that should push us all to rise, or at least "all of us" that continue to stay in the game and don't just quit.

According to every statistic, minorities are socially treated better than the white majority, except by their own race where i.e. 95.4% of blacks are killed by other blacks as of 2018.

It says/said right on the BLM website that they're a Marxism organization, I've seen videos where the BLM founders say their goal is "black supremacy".

Obviously not everyone involved thinks that way, but the mindset trickles down.

How can you stand behind what is actual Communism as a red-blooded American?

Both of our ancestor's have died fighting this ideology overseas.

BLM does not care about black people, do not fall for it. Your race does not make who you are as a person.

But that's the thing- our biggest divisions aren't along lines of race/culture.

The US has overall moved away from and identity based on religion and ethnic traditions and towards a shared culture that idolizes financial gains and sexual prowess. I don't think it was necessarily coordinated, but it didn't "just happen" exactly either.

We have been sold on the idea that the US is the bestest place ever (could be) and that we can be happy if we just attain a sexually appealing appearance and plenty of cash.

This needs more "airtime" on social media; how what is playing out now is harmful to the group that is supposedly being "fought for".

I can say that this (pay gap due to sexism) has been true during my lifetime; however at this point I believe it is mainly circumstantial. Mainly a combination of women being more drawn to careers that aren't paid highly (because the money just isn't there (child care) and/or the employee's time is the product) and women taking time out from their careers to raise children and care for the sick and elderly.

That’s like saying “al Qaeda wants progression, peace, and equality”.

Doesn’t matter if you know someone who supports BLM and they have good intentions, all a person has to do is read the stated goals of BLM. They want to tear down the nuclear family, overhaul American capitalism, shame patriotism and American exceptionalism, are lead by self-proclaimed marxists, create systems that punish whites and/or males, defund police, continue the push of the rainbow coalition to divide our country, erase borders, and weaken our military. They are an enemy of our country. Yeah I’m sure there are lots of good people who support them, but that is because, as the saying goes, “the road to hell is paved with good intentions”.

BLM near me is nothing like what’s all over the news, just goes to show you how people swallow whole what they see on tv and social media.

If this is so then they need a bigger megaphone because that isn't the message that is coming through.

At this point the organization has been so strongly linked with stuff like kneeling for the national anthem and bullying/shaming anyone who doesn't give their endorsement it could be past redeeming with a lot of the US public.

It is very strange- how much division is being fomented and not just on social media where it is known (though not much publicized) that foreign interests can (and have) fanned the flames to rip us apart from within.

I don't know how you can do any real study on post modernism/intersectionalism/et. al. and see it as anything other than a path to balkanization.

I see the opposite dude. 95% is being generous. There's entire marches where they call for cop killing or death to America. Not to mention the basic premise of their movement is based on fear mongering or lies.

There's well intentioned people in these protests but they're turning a blind eye to violence or hateful rhetoric. They should have broken off and formed their own anti-police brutality, civil rights movements ages ago, but the fraternity/false virtue that comes with BLM is too tempting.

How do you feel about capitalism then? I think generally the idea is that competition in the marketplace improves the overall quality of the goods and services that are available AND that having a number of different providers improves overall resilience (e.g. when one falls another can step in).

If minority communities step up and "compete" by making their people and spaces better then that should push us all to rise, or at least "all of us" that continue to stay in the game and don't just quit.
lol no, not because of your silly strawman tirade.

Because you are irrational, overly emotional, and incapable of logically expressing your position. Every nonpoint you've made is based on feelings, stated values, and inferred intentions rather than actions that exist in reality.

And by you I mean notjustyou specifically but that your personal shortcomings are representive of women everywhere.
