Not going to lie, that was Nolan's standout worst movie. Unlike Inception which did a great job of setting up the universe and the rules and mechanics within it, this **** just made zero sense from start to finish. It was complex not in a "I want to watch this again to understand it fully" way but just total incoheret nonsense throughout. Just such a painful slog to get through and that sound editing, holy fuk I can't believe a $200 million movie could have been edited like this. At least 40% of the dialogue was inaudible. I say all this as generally a Nolan Stan.

Agreed OP, couldn't even hear wtf was going on. Especially when the characters were explaining the whole thing in a shipping container and I still couldn't hear chit. Then I looked it up and it still made no sense lul. Unlike his other movies probably won't watch this again

Nolan’s movie always had weird/ chitty audio issues. I always watch it with subs so I can catch plot points.

Dang, was looking forward to it. Why all the good preview commercial movies always the worse ones. Preview made it look good and interesting.

This cranks it to a completely absurd level. In TDKR it was just Bane mainly who you sometimes couldn't understand, in this half the dialogue between main characters even during very important scenes of exposition are impossible to follow.

I feel like Nolan is losing his edge and getting way too far up his own ass. Inception was probably the peak of his high concept, genuinely enjoyable original summer blockbuster, he hasn't hit that note since.

They also show literally all the cool scenes in the trailer. Watching the plane crash in IMAX was pretty dope, but otherwise even the action was meh because you couldn't really make sense of anything.
