Sold something on Ebay to a buyer with 0 feedback WHAT TO DO
I have 290 transactions on ebay and 100% feedback and never encountered this before.
I sold my Galaxy Watch on ebay for $120 to a guy who created an ebay account on February 2020 and has 0 transaction history. He paid immediately via Paypal and everything seems to check out but i am still kinda sceptical.
On paypal it says Seller protection is eligible but my scam senses are still tingling.
There is another guy that bid also for $120 and he has 61 transaction and 100% feedback. Id much rather sell to him but id have to cancel this transaction.
Am i being too paranoid here what do you guys think?

Nothing you can do now OP. Just clinch your cheeks and hope it doesn't go south. Take this as a lesson. In your next ads, state loud and clear that you'll be cancelling buyer bids with 0 feedback (not sure if EBAY still allows that but who cares)
You aren't paranoid, you're rightfully concern. Just look at it as an older guy/gal who doesn't usually online shop but decided to take a deal on your product.
TLDR; can't do chit not boyo, prepare for them to go in dry.

you should be more cautious with that. He could chargeback since he paid through paypal, Unless you specifically requested for him to pay through FRIENDS AND FAMILY (or someone you know idk what its called) in which case he cannot chargeback and he pays the paypal fees and whatnot

Google maps the address and report back
i sell things online and you have to be skeptical when selling electronic items, but he might just be a new buyer

you will be fine they arent going to side with a brand new buyer with zero feedback over an established seller, I just sold $5500 worth of basketball cards over seas to ****ing CHINA to a guy with 5 feedback and 2 days later had his account banned and it all worked out for me i think you will be ok

Look up his address on google maps and make sure it’s legit. Almost happened to me a couple months ago, some ******* was like I want your ps4 and I’ll give you $500 for it. I said sure and they sent the money. Seemed too good to be true. Looked up the address and it was some scam address they’ve been using

OP I sold a $90 item to someone with 0 feedback a month ago and it was fine. If you’re not comfortable cancel.

First rule on eBay when selling is a description disclaimer saying all 0 feedback bids will be cancelled.
Highly suggest you nuke this now, As odds are you will be getting the shaft 75/25.
I would still send the original buyer a log of your dung in the mail without a return address after cancelling to see if this person exists and sends you a message asking why he was mailed human feces.
Only way to be sure you made the correct call.

Send it certified mail so they have to sign for it. Some ****** tried to rip me off saying he never got it a few years ago but dropped the case after I brought up he had to sign for the package. Dealing with eBay is a headache. Rather sell **** local

Hi,
I am sorry but i do not feel comfortable sending my product to someone with 0% feedback and a non residential address. I will cancel the order and you will be receiving your money back. I am sorry about this but if you are a legitimate buyer i suggest buying few less expensive products to establish a good report on ebay.
Sorry for inconvenience

Good evening, if I don't have a score, it's because obviously I'm new to eBay, I've been more of an Amazon user, I think your excuse is very silly, be more sincere and responsible, it's not my fault that the auction didn't cover your expectations, so truth that lack of seriousness.
Still not sure if scam or not

Everyone starts somewhere but zero feedback is always skeptical. I wouldn’t sell to zero feedback anything over $50.
Also on another note, I bought a hoodie on ebay worth $60, USPS marked it as delivered but I never received chit. Seller doesn’t want to refund or replace, what are my options? I used paypal

-Some people say good things come to those who wait, truth is, good things come to those who work..... who work later.....who work harder...... who are willing to go further than anyone else to get them. If you're waiting for good things to come to you, you'll be waiting for a pretty long time.

Reminds me of my friend who sold a phone to some dude in ****ing Bangladesh with no positive feedback and agreed to send the phone before receiving payment so the buyer could make sure the phone works
Lol why would you ship the phone? RIP phone.

I put a claim thru ebay "item not received" and it was immediately rejected because of the shipping info. I was basically fukrd through both eBay and PayPal because of it. Couldn't put another claim in.
It was quite the scam/loophole. I was able to use my credit card to fight the charge and thankfully I got my money back.
