Made a mistake to try and help my family with a new startup design company

-no payment
-have to always explain myself why some of my opinion is better and more marketable with current trends
-both get into boomer rage and can't really take it that their kid is giving them advice
-no taking of advice and continuing with their boomer ways of business so we go into instant flop
-toxic workingplace with them being out of touch with current technology and trends
-being total pricks when i say that i'm not into this stuff and i need to get into the stuff i want - currently on one other job, about to start a second one, have to grad uni and i'm in my late 20's. Parents go into victim mode everytime i say i don't want to help and basically manipulate me
-they owe me 40k and blame me for not doing anything for the family - spend years helping them financialy, while my mother was at home watching TV and father interfiering and destroying every business project i started - both were unemployed


It is over boyos, can't take it anymore with their crap. Way too toxic

i would say dont mix
find an outside job
and make your parents
figure it out or parttime with them as a hobbiest

So are you an independent alpha that's helping his parents financially and with their business and they keep giving you crap because they are out of touch boomers? Or are you a 20 something year old student still living at home/under his parents rule. And you rely on them to live?



If you still live with your parents, you are not an independent functioning adult. You are their child. And are subject to their rules and wishes. If you have your own place and form of employment go live your own life.
