Anyone else considering a next gen console just to get that feeling again?

I do not consider myself a serious gamer by any means. But the ps5 and xbox both look pretty impressive imo. I might buy one to waste some time on. Probably leaning towards xbox since I really enjoy the forza line but im not an xbox fanboy. Currently own a ps3 and switch. Anyone else looking at next gens?

No, PC is way better and you can get games on steam for like 10 bucks

I get the logic behind pcs but never been part of that crew tbh. I like chilling on my couch with a controller not in front of a desk like im at work. Thats just me though

Forza would be the only reason I'd ever get an Xbox and is also the reason why I own no racing games.... Such is life lol. Don't get it for "that feeling" though because if you even do get it expect it to pass after like 15 minutes when you cant stay glued. Or who knows maybe you're better at LDAR than I am but every month I really feel like sitting down and finishing Witcher or Persona or whatever but I play it for a stint. Maybe 2 days max of like an hour each then I just put it back down.

Yea thats my concern. I just remember getting the original xbox many years ago and spending hours on that thing. It felt so novel and new compared to my old ass nintendo. But i was like 14. I did just what you described above when I got my ps3. Kind of sad but atleast I still use it for netflix in my bedroom

xbox for gamepass, third party (it's a bit stronger of a console), and their first party (every single one is day 1 on game pass).

I got a nvidia shield pro and ran a line through my other room with my gaming pc to my living room tv to play with xbox controllers to get that feel again.

feel was overrated. still do most gaming on outdated laptop sitting at kitchen table.

Nah, new consoles always have limited game choice in the first 12 months. By the time the catalogue is decent the $$$ for the console has fallen. Win-win.
