It's done the rounds as we know:

Type in any 3 random digits, followed by 'new cases' into google. E.g.:

645 new cases.

First few results will be CV new cases from various websites including the WHO.

I put it down to the website continually counting up the cases so it will always have a record, so you will always get a result no matter what number you type in as long as the number you type is equal to or lower than the total confirmed cases.
Is that it debunked?

Not this chit again.


The fuk you need debunked? The Google hits lead you to actual news outlets/authorities posting COVID stats. It's a worldwide pandemic with literally thousands of news outlets publishing articles about the same chit from their countries.


Where's the conspiracy?

Google crawls the internet and saves the information from them in their servers. Algorithms chew the data and rank them in terms of authority, relevance and trust for any given search query.

Google is smart enough to know that any 'new cases' query rn without any other context is covid-related, and since news outlets around the world have been posting new case tallies daily for months there's a decent chance that every possible number has been recorded and published somewhere, some time. So when you search for 'x cases' it isn't surprising that it has something to deliver for every one, although I would be surprised if there arent exceptions
