What is your biggest phobia?

For me, it's confined spaces. Like crawling under a house to repair some plumbing lines. I feel like everything is collapsing on me. My chest tightens up, I can't breath and I start to panic. So I'll get someone to do it for me. If they don't know what they are doing, I'll lay by the crawlspace opening and hand them tools and instruct them what to do. That's my way of overcoming it.

I discovered this phobia about 30 years ago in Southern Illinois. There is a national park with a cave that's called Fat Man's Squeeze. Going through it I felt like the walls were going to collapse on me.

What are yours and how do you overcome them?

haha it sounds kind of gay, but I'm starting to fear my own strength. I've been getting stronger and stronger every time I hit the gym, that now I have to use those heavy ass dumbells no one uses, and alot of 45 pound plates on all my barbell workouts. I dont have a gym partner so its kind of intimidating to do certain workouts alone with such heavy iron. Anyone have this little phobia? lol it wont stop me, but I'm getting really big into stretching cause the fear of injury from these workouts. It's kind of scary, lol.

I'm not afraid of heights, crazy people, animals, spiders, snakes, water or anything like that.

It’s game over for me if they are jumping spiders or run fast. Or if they’re in the shower with me when I’m naked and vulnerable. I always do a “perimeter check” of the walls and ceiling before bed.

I won’t ever be cured of my phobia, but I have been brave when one has been near or on one of my kids.

I used to have a friend who was afraid of spiders as well and I bought this jumping spider toy that used a hand pump to make it jump forward.

She was taking a nap and I stuck it on her and when she felt the jumping she about had a straight up heart attack

I actually recently woke up in the middle of the night and felt something on my face! Legit got out of bed and turned the flashlight from my phone on. Moved the covers and there was a big ars spider in my bed!!!! Damn near shredded the bed to kill it. My toddler had been fast asleep right next to me, and I couldn’t bear to think it was going to climb on her. My heart was beating so hard I couldn’t fall asleep for a few hours that night. I actually got some tears in my eyes it’s that bad.

Just FYI you eat a few spiders in your sleep each year. Be thankful for free protein cause this chit is getting expensive
