Does anyone have brass knuckles? How would they be for self defense?
Considering buying some and just carrying in my pocket, if i need or suspect something may be afoot, i can just put my hand in my pocket and have them ready.
Any cons to getting some?
Ive also looked into some keychain self defense weapons that are similar..the cat head but those are kinda weird looking...maybe even a smaller 2 finger brass knuckle weapon would work.
edit: Brass knucks are legal in my state

What are us cucked Canadian brahs supposed to do?
We aren't allowed to carry anything. Even brass knuckles. You are carrying them with the intent of violence so can be confiscated or charged with using a weapon...
**** is crazy. I'm thinking of making a flail type weapon using a light weight chain link with a sharp ball with spikes pointing out to swing at a mofo.
Been looking at stuff on this site.https://www.warriorsandwonders.com/

Overrated and not worth the trouble. Very illegal most places and not recognized for self defense really. Better off with bare hands, knife spray or even a gun. If you can’t have anything spray does work and doesn’t require training or ability

I did get my wife one of those brass knuckle shaped tasers - you can still take out your car keys etc while holding them, and can't be knocked from your hand as easy. Something like this.

Still need to be able to throw a punch and connect. Most people don’t have that.
Also usually illegal af. Have fun splitting someone’s head open then him and his homies jumping your head through the pavement.

Well, most people aren't very good at fist fights so that will be a handicap. That said, they are effective given pretty much any solid hit to the face is breaking things, jaw, orbital bone, nose, ect; most are fight enders for most.
Illegal in most places though, and very limited as a weapon. I'd sooner carry a knife and/or a gun (especially the gun), but brass knuckles are face better than nothing.

I've got some. Mine were technically a "belt buckle" when I bought them. You're looking at a felony if you get caught with them on you.

It would be safer to hold something solid in the palm of your hand and then throw a punch. Your punch will be much stronger and connect with more power.

If I was going to carry a weapon for self defense that's not a firearm, I'd take an extendable baton or a solid walking stick. Reason is that you have reach, you are less likely to kill someone than you would with a knife, you can subdue a person with it and you face lesser charges than you would with some other weapons.
EDIT
Have a friend who used to be a bouncer, someone came at him with a bottle and he cracked their hand with a baton - bottle smashed and guy was crying on the floor clutching a bleeding hand LOL.

OC Spray is great, but you also get hit with some when you use it, especially in enclosed spaces.

At this point, I just avoid the city. I went to an apple picking farm in upstate NY with the family today. Lots of like-minded people from Manhattan were present, as I learned from talking to others as our kids played. The violence is out of control. A Mexican man from Battery Park implored me to vote for Trump.

Another interesting item I remember as a kid was a the sjambok. Not something you could carry on you but have one in your car in case you wind up with a bunch of blm protestors on your hood.
They were whips made from stretched hippo or rhino hide (ideally the penis) and would cut the living sh!t out of those unfortunate enough to be on the receiving end.
