Platoon is a brutal 'Nam movie

Watched it once years ago and got kind of bored with it.
On second viewing its a damn good movie. Really shows the horrors of the war, murdering civilians and burning their villages down, plus the masses of dead US grunts, under the command of people who didnt know wtf they were doing or why they were there.
Don't get me started on the kunt Barnes, murders a little girls mother in front of her and her husband. Murders my boi Willem Dafoe.
At least Charlie Sheen gets his revenge at the end. I bet that movie made his dad proud after Martin Sheens epic performance in Apocalypse Now

Not too brutal but very realistic in showing how the war really was.

Definitely the GOAT war movie of all time.

It isnt brutal in a gory way, but it shows how the war fked with the heads of the young men who went there. There are some messed up scenes like that black guy who knocks himself out on a tree, then when he comes to a VC soldier is stabbing him repeatedly in the stomach.
Plus the death pits at the end with dozers shovelling corpses in the hole.
