By dirty I mean unhygienic. The older I get, the more I can’t believe I lived with these people for so many years. Just a few examples:

-My dad eats food that’s been left on the counter for days.
-My childhood home was infested with rats for this reason.
-Everyone wears shoes in the house.
-My step mom doesn’t wash her hands after she uses the bathroom.
-My grandparents eat expired food.
-My grandparents didn’t have hand soap in their bathroom during my last visit.

If it taught me anything it was how not to live. All of these covid guidelines are things I’ve been doing for years. My family calls me a germaphobe but I’m proud of that. I’m not a filthy fuk who lives like an animal.

Nope, my mom was kind of neurotic about cleanliness.

Nice. Had a friend like that. You could eat off the floor. Downside is you couldn’t touch anything without getting screamed at.

Kinda wish I grew up in those conditions but then maybe I would’ve taken it for granted.

My parents are both untidy, but nothing bad.

Haha that was my grandma. Ho Lee chit. Literally chit. The bacteria in that home could’ve killed a tumor.Facts bro. Was sick at least once a month as a kid, but now I haven’t been sick with even a common cold in years srs.

Cats poop in a box, then wall around your house with their nasty paws. Learned this when my wife was preggos. Should couldnt clean litter box so i had too. We literally bleached and cleaned the box every couple days. But after acouple days of me putting my face down their to scoop up their sand surprises...felt like i needed to take a shower everytimr. Cant imagine hugging someone after cleaning a litter box.

I've had to deal with some lower class portions of the population - going into their homes to get access agreements to replace their lead water service for them. I can't begin to understand how some people live in the filth that they do. Absolutely stomach turning filth - and most have kids. I'd had to wear a respirator in a couple and begrudging had a few condemned for giving their children rain water to live on because they didn't pay their water bill. Humanity was a mistake.
