Since you began lifting, what is the longest you’ve gone without lifting?
Since I started lifting consistently, the most I’ve gone without lifting was about a month during college, when I was swamped with finals and other homework. Other than that, the most I’ve gone on average has been 13 or 14 days, because of something significant in my life, like moving, or heavy yard work and lifting would’ve interfered.
What’s the longest you’ve ever gone without lifting, after you started lifting consistently?

I started at 17. I'd say the longest was while I was pregnant and for a couple years after I had my son. I did some lifting off and on in that couple years, but nothing consistent.

I hardly ever lifted from 2015-2019. Started back at it seriously when covid hit and now I’m dedicated like I was at 16.

6 weeks?
I don't lift when I go on holidays and I took the time spent in lockdown to do yoga and cycling instead cause no weights at home.

6 weeks with a broken arm when I was 15. Went on a 2 week long vacation a few years ago, so that was the longest I’ve gone without lifting as an adult.

Been lifting for 6 years. Haven't taken more than a week or two completely off in a row, and only those few times due to injuries. Taking my first planned full week off next month on vacation, looking forward to it now but I know by the end of it I'll be jonesing to get back.

8 years i dont think i ever taken a break besides when i pulled my back out and got covid
ill take 3-4 days off but i dont count that as a break. ive taken weeks off on purpose for purpose of gains. our bodies are crazy. if the rock lost weight and didnt work out he'd get his gains back incredibly fast.
taking breaks is actually good for your gains

6-8 months twice. Got super sick both times, one of which resulting in a 3 day hospital stay. Turned out to be an undiagnosed immune condition.

A year. I started a new job 6 months before Covid so I was working late a lot. Then the world shut down for 6 months. Never want to take the gym for granted again. I was doing runs and home workouts though.

Coming up on 6 months since covid. But for the first couple of years I'd regularly skip 1-2 weeks here and there.
Currently fat and barely hanging on to my gains.
