This Place Is The Desert Of The Mind

This is the place I come to when I am bored of doing the things that actually matter to my life.

I dabble, I lurk, occasionally I reply.

I very rarely make new threads and when I do half the time I end up deleting them.

I used to waste way more time on this board (bored) but I have been consciously training myself to do better things with my time during the day. I cannot imagine what it would be like for the permanent residents on both sides, paid or not, to post here all day every day and bicker about things that don't really accomplish anything substantial in their lives.

Discuss. This thread may self destruct at any time.

Just out of curiosity, why do you think I should "delet this"?

Try to use a few more words to really elucidate your thoughts on the matter this time. It would really be appreciated... a lot.

This place is a total wasteland, but it will teach you a lot about ignorance and how people would rather further buy into a false narrative than come to grips with the possibility they may have been wrong.

Fuk around and find out.

And I thank you for posting in this thread that I created but I wouldn't mind you typing a few sentences. Maybe I could leave the thread for all time because it became so good or maybe Ethan Hunt finally becomes Tom Cruise and this thread disappears.

It's probably true I am boring and have a high opinion of myself.

I'm kind of like wincel but I don't type as often and with ****ty opinions.

I mostly keep to myself.

The new Ulver has that 80s pop-rock-crush sound just right for a few songs.

There's a project running atm in a cognitive science centre at my university which is looking at the heightened fear-based responses of the conservative brain in response to perceived threats.

In light of that, this place is a goldmine. It's all about perspective.
Back off, Warchild.

1) heightened fear-based responses of the conservative
2) needs safe space and trigger warnings

When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

I like to beam the light of existential dread into the cavecels' eyes and watch what ensues. It's amazing how cognitive dissonance just takes such firm root. They really believe Leftists eat babies....

Diggin' some of the replies, even had to rep a typically bad poster =)

Another deep track from the living legends, it's funny how they were so disgraced after the whole Napster/Lars fiasco but through dogged determination and persistent perseverance they continue to be one of the best musical acts of the last several decades, while competitors and potential contenders simply embarrass themselves.

Tool, Nine Inch Nails, I'm looking at you.

The outro is the best part, there's a live track where they play it a bit longer but you still just want to hear more before they fade it out.

Rather than a desert I think of this place as a sort of zoo, where I come to observe the behavior of strange creatures I would normally never see in my real life. But I usually try not to get lured into the cage with them.
