I’m a 100 lbs and I do the bb or 20’s hammer curl/reg and preacher curl the smaller bb at 40 lbs
I’m impressed at 60-70 depending on the guys size
But it your swinging them up every thing your doing sucks and I’m disgusted/horrified or if you do them in the squat rack

I don’t get a good pump the heavier I go
30-35 is the sweet spot for concentration curls - can do a thumbless grip and use less forearm. I leave heavy bicep stuff for barbell curls or compound exercises.

I'll only go heavy on hammer curls and curl bar curls. Regular db curls I don't think I've ever gone past 35lbs at my biggest and strongest. Usually stuck to 20-30lbs with fat grips. That would always blow my arms up anyways.

Strict barbell curl for reps I would say anything 115+ is well above the average gym bro. Strict dumbbells I would say 50+.

Who cares? As long as you're making biceps gains it doesn't matter.
Spoiler!
It has to be at least 2x bodyweight
