Increase the Sincerity of any Interaction: The (Seemingly) Little Things

I don’t take personal offense if people deny me common courtesy, but I will always try to extend it. Here is how, I’ll start, then you....

-Remove a glove before shaking the hand of another man.

-Don’t wear sunglasses during a personal/intimate conversation.

-Remember their name, and use it during the conversation.

-Don’t ask a question if you don’t care about the answer (how are you?)

-Don’t lie. Ever.

-Don’t take personal offense to any of the above.

Go.

Sincerity doesnt work. You need to be a spider weaving webs or an onion with many layers with 99 percent of people

Good tips brah. People always tell me I'm "good with people" and I attribute it to the attention to detail that you share. Thoughtful interaction goes a very long way and if you speak to someone without actually engaging it creates a wall between you that prevents connection especially subconsciously.

Agree with all your points

- Give proper eye contact.
- Smile
- Listen, sometimes acknowledge what they said by saying it back to them before giving your point/opinion
- In a group setting, especially at work - if you are going to build on someones idea make a point to give them praise before doing so (use their name). "blahblah said blah which I thought was really good and..."
- Involve others in a group conversation, don't dominate
- Always shake hands with males AND females when being introduced to them.

Not that this is surprising at all.

So why post?

They are not rules man. You don’t have to follow them. But your lack of sincerity will show.

What if the personal conversation is taking place on a boat (boats n hoes ya know)? Can I leave my sunglasses on then?
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

-when shaking hands at last second change it to fist bump, then back to hand shake, and back to fist bump

but srs "dont lie ever" should be changed to "don't lie ever to another man".

telling the truth 100% of the time to women and children is not a good idea.

I agree. Overdoing it will appear forced. The easiest way to be sincere is to be sincere. Forcing certain behavior isn’t sincerity. Thanks for pointing it out.
