Will many people's immune systems be fwark'd after covid due to hand washing etc.?

I wonder if people's immune systems are going to be weak after awhile due to all this hand washing, hand sanitizer everywhere, and stuff like that. Isn't the immune system at its best when it is constantly working to keep things out of your body? But now it basically gets no exercise. I mean any little thing now will probably be much more dangerous.
Would kick em in the nuts

My hands have absorbed so much hand sanitizer and soap, that when I piss it cleans the toilet

I used to spin the toilet paper roll like I was on wheel of fortune. Now I spin it like I’m cracking a safe.

There were some pretty funny jokes that came out of COVID. Always look on the upside.
Entire NYPD should go on strike. You'll see then how quickly the mayor changes his tone.

Have not washed my hands any more than normal, have not once worn a mask anywhere, have not used hand sanitizer once.

No way I’m screwing my immune system up trying to kill every germ near me over a form of flu

Had the same thought. I’ve been slowly weening myself back into normal procedure. You still have to wear masks everywhere here, but I no longer use hand sanitizer (unless I use a public bathroom - disgusting) and I’ll touch my face deliberately after touching shelves or railings now.

I’ve noticed people are even more disgusting wearing masks under their noses

Yes. Serious. A lot of people at work have gotten sick along with a lot of their family members. Not covid but things like colds, a staph infection, etc.

No mask and no hand sanitizer crew. Was sick once in the past two years and it was a 1 day sniffles and sore throat.

All about diet, exercise, maximizing the correct vitamins/minerals, and exposing yourself to different environments consistently.

I honestly feel bad for kids. These guidelines are not allowing babies to effectively help their immune system via the hygiene hypothesis. Not allowing them to be exposed to a wide variety of things and allergens is worse for their immune system.

I'm sure I'll be sicker after Covid. Haven't been sick since this started and no doubt my immune system is on voluntary furlough at this point.

Yes. Youre microbiome is in constant flux with bacteria, viruses, etc. You need exposure to have a robust immune system. All of these bs guidelines will just create weaker humans. Which is seemingly the goal.

Absolutely not.

What you’re suggesting is a watered down version of an already terrible hypothesis which is the hygiene hypothesis.

this is something I wondered in military basic training because they are obsessed with hand sanitizer there. I personally don't think it effects your immune system much at all. The only time I use sanitizer is when I can't wash my hands but there you're expected to be using it regularly and even use it after you wash your hands. In most restaraunts where you handle food, you're also taught a lot of times to use sanitizer AFTER washing your hands, not as a replacement.
