Aware me on Samsung Galaxy

Not an I phone fan...

Looking for a new phone. Current one is an ultra rugged Sonim xp7 absolute potato.

I hear the samsung's have great cameras? Any reason to avoid? Particular models? Total samsung newb. Liking the water resistance rating for where I live and what I do

Maybe true, not much of a techie. I generally repel technology actually

Sometimes a raw answer from random people not paid to talk about phones and tech can be helpful.

Anyone can post a full review, but if I ask what people think, I might get a few bullet points about annoying things, great things etc. Anything that sticks in someone's mind good or bad will come to light and may be helpful

Ive had 5 different samsungs, only tested the water proof with an S5. Had it in my pocket while swimming in a lake, worked like nothing happened, but I did have to let it dry a bit for the error message to go away.

get into the Apple ecosystem, seriously, it will change your life.

I remember LOL'ing at Apple people, paying higher prices for similar spec'd phones compared to Samsung...

But then I got my first iPhone and realized....you aren't just paying for the hardware, you are paying for an entire eco system which is leaps and bounds ahead of anyone else.

Cool. My current phone is totally waterproof to like 30m. Looks like their 1.5m rating is totally sufficient.

I've owned the Note 3, Note 4, and I'm currently on the Note 9. I got big hands so I prefer the larger phones. I like the interface of Samsung/Galaxy phones.

The camera is great, but if you are going to buy a flagship phone, Iphone or otherwise, the camera is going to be great. It's 2020.

I've put my note 9 fully submerged in a few feet of water and taken video/pictures with it. Works great, zero issues.

My Note 4 lasted and worked perfectly fine all the way until the Note 9 Release, so my experience with them so far is that they last.

I looked into the 20 briefly, but damn, the price. I wouldn't mind bigger. That all makes sense. Might look at a s10+ then.

Good to hear they last. Coming off a phone that is guaranteed to survive a 100' drop, I always worry. I feel like a good case and treat it right should help it last.

Upgraded from an S7 to an S20 because there was a $300 trade in deal. Great phone but get the S10 for less. My wife has an S10 and really likes it.

I was in the apple ecosystem since the days of ipod, itunes and the first generation of macbook pros. Things were GOAT then, but android/PC has caught up by leaps and bounds. I've actually completely abandoned apple, all they make now are bad products that force you to pay through the nose. Worst thing is they lock you into their cycle of chit by narrowing down the products you can use, which are average at best these days. You're paying for brand and nothing else. Also LOL @ using bootcamp to run games in windows on your chitty mac, that thing is buggier than a porn site.

Their only product which can't be replicated are their laptop and desktop monitors, which display true colours that are useful for designers to choose colours for print. Everything else is absolutely worthless.

Had the Notes since the beginning of time but they are big phones and uncomfortable in your pockets. But these new folding screens look cool. That new Razor seems like the perfect phone. A flip phone that turns into a pretty good size smart phone.

I got a Samsung Galaxy J33 a few years ago, and even though it's a poverty phone, I liked it better than any other phone I've tried, and keep going back to it. I managed to break 2 of them, so I bought two replacements so far as surplus.

There's nothing revolutionary happening with phones from one generation to the next. Getting the latest definitely isn't worth it. Though I'm in the camp that believes companies are intentionally sabotaging older phones via updates to make people upgrade. Getting the current generation gives you more time before scheduled obsolescence.

Get the s10. Good phone and reasonably priced. I have an iPhone for work and hate it. The hardware is good but I feel like the operating system is designed for 12 year old girls. I have a note 20 (got a BOGO from tmo a couple months back) and it's been great
