I had a favourable view of them a few years back, think there are a lot of righteous people in the movement, and support their broad stated aims of more racial justice

At this point though I have a very unfavourable view of them, think they aren't honest, choose bad hills to die on, and behave badly

They have generated hundreds and hundreds of millions. This money BETTER be going to help the poor, there better be tons of free scholarships, after-school programs, lunches etc... Seems like money is just backing violence and destruction at this point. Where is all the money going?

As for the attention its bringing to racism and the need for change im fine with.. Just I hope the money it makes actually makes it to those who need it. All the videos of the innocent being brutalized is hard to watch.. Lots of people have died directly from BLM protests.. Many lives ruined..

I don't like collectivist groups. Especially those based around hate speech and extremist rhetoric, because that's when they "evolve" into cults. And BLM has been a cult for a while now. I root for the individual, and race / skin color / gender aren't determining factors whether I root for someone. Character, wit, charisma...there's many things that make a person easy to empathize. People obsessed with their race, genitals, or other such things just come across insufferable. What are your hobbies? Skills? Passions?

This hyper-focus of the bloody roots of America is insufferable as well. News flash, every single country was founded on f$%ked up sh!t. Some of said f$%^ed up sh!t continues to happen in modern times. People need to stop clinging to dead people's baggage to fill in their boring lives.

Used to be favorable until I noticed the movement was picking and choosing who they protested for. They have been called out numerous times by certain communities and the older black generation for not caring when its black/black. They only seem to care when its from another race.
I do think certain departments need to be checked due to severe harassment history in the black community,(LAPD).

They had that video go viral a few weeks ago in Chicago where that little kid got shot and they weren't doing anything but the moment that criminal got killed they were protesting, the older guy cussed them out telling them to take it somewhere else since they didn't seem to care about the kid getting killed.

I have an unfavorable view of them because they haven't once used any of the money they earned to do actual good. Its usually ended up going to some DNC candidate. If you're donating to anything besides a local charity you're a POS. There are actual churches, mosques, Synagogues and Temples that will take your money and help someone in actual need in your local area. But instead we had millions of dorks take their hard earned money and give it to an organization that doesnt give two chits about them. Hell im sure if people came together locally and pooled their funds together they could have at least funded higher education for their kids. But nah lets donate to BLM because muh George Floyd and muh 9 unarmed black folks killed by cops. The stupidity of humans knows zero bound. People really depend on the government like its their Dads credit card and when they fuark up they cry and whine at Daddy government for forgiveness.

People could do such great things locally. Here in Montreal, richer and stable districts fund their own Unarmed Public Security forces so that the city as a whole can focus law enforcement in poorer areas. However, it would be nicer if people could pour their funds into other projects for their own communities. But were not ready for that conversation yet. Lets keep blaming each other.

Not a fan of the organization for a number of reasons. As a libertarian, I supported the peaceful protests and thought maybe we'd finally get some reform around limiting qualified immunity, ending civil asset forfeiture, better training, and more psychological evaluations.

But no. Instead we have rich upper east side kids destroying property for clout.
