Recommend me a country to temporarily live in

Currently live in Toronto, working for home for foreseeable future, want to live in another country for 4-6 months or so and work remotely (take time off here and there)

Preferences:

1. Cheap: doesn’t have to be dirt cheap but not too expensive
2. Eastern standard time: Im working remotely and need to work roughly 9-5 so I would prefer the time zone is roughly the same
3. Not too much corona: like little/no shutdowns so I can still go to bars and do stuff
4. Girls: Will mostly meet off tinder. When I was in Peru it was really easy to match with hot girls. I hear some other places are easy too like Thailand
5. Warm: Mostly doing this to avoid Canadian winter
6. At least somewhat English speaking
7. Exotic/different than Canada (i.e. not America)

winter is the only good thing about this ****hole country lol. temperate weather like 8 months a year. i hate hot weather. our summers are **** here. summer is way better anywhere else

can u even travel? i thought government shut it down still. they still say no non-essential travel so if ur a canadian citizen going to travel for non-essential reasons idk if they'll let you fly. the only people i know flying are people going back to their home country

Yeah I've looked into Costa Rica. Seems like a nice spot with tons of nature. Would also prefer Central/South America since its closer to home making it easier to fly back during holidays, etc..

Brazil/Columbia seem to be corona hot spots so its kinda sketchy.

I don't think the internet would be a problem. Maybe wifi but a wired connection should be sufficient for work. Idk for sure should prob look into this.

Other than a 3 day in-country work trip, I've never even travelled alone so this is gonna be huge. But fkk I'm so down.

My parents own a condo in Playa, They are scared of the Rona, So this might make me a peice of dust. But I am going to try and slide in there for 3 months and act like a hero for offering to pay HOA fees.

Fcuk it I put a lot of thought into it already. This is exactly what I'm going to try and do.

If you're still working and need to stay Eastern(or similar) Time Zone, I'd suggest Medellin Colombia. Good Internet, relatively large digital nomad population. If you stay in Poblado, you'll have all the comforts of home and typically can get a nice apartment in a highrise for something like $900/mo in a really good location walkable to most things.

Good gyms with Colombian HBBs within walking distance. Great weather. Can take cheap easy flights to other places for the weekend.

Somewhere like Costa Rica isn't really a viable option because it's too 3rd world to be a legit place to do real work. Medellin is what you're looking for.

Bogota is a massive city, I was only there for 3 days and didn't get to see the main tourist area. It's not that great of a place though. Kind of cold, horrible traffic. Probably good party scene, but I would definitely choose Medellin or Cartagena over Bogota.

By "real work" I means like having to be present for meetings with people on EST. If you can work independently from actual time zone, I'd suggest SEA, although I don't think any of those countries have allowed foreign tourists yet.

Medellin has plenty of HBBs, and also plenty of 10/10 hookers for $50. Everything there is relatively cheap, unlike a lot of other places.

Also, another option that you might like is Panama City, Panama. Lots of things are super cheap, girls love Gringos there(I was there 5 nights and banged 3 different girls). There's also a bar named Habanos that is filled with 10/10 Colombian hookers, but this is from before COVID. Who knows what COVID has done to the immigration situation there. Panama City has much better tourist infrastructure than Costa Rica(although if you want to go elsewhere in Panama it's still expensive).

Not for any real reason other than just to experience something different, bang a lot of foreign sloots, and try to reignite my creative energies for a bit before continuing graduate school

During these times I’d prefer to go to a country with no corona cases, look up the list of countries with no cases. I only recognize samoa but the time zone is different.
