Operation Winter Bulk: Road To 230lbs (Need Help ITT)(Pics)
Ok brahs I fell off the bandwagon since covid started. Was about 230lbs and crushing it and then I found out I had an H. Pylori bacterial stomach infection right as the shutdown happened in March. Went down to 205lbs real quick. Well since then I have only lifted 10 times in July before my gym started adding more and more restrictions. Haven't touched a weight since besides messing around with a jump rope and sandbags a few times. I've been a pathetic lazy fuk and need to get my ass into gear. These past few weeks have been the worst.
I'm doing an experiment here. I'm trying to get to 230lbs with just bodyweight exercises, 150lbs of sandbag weight, and jump roping. At least until the gyms loosen the restrictions to wear I don't have to wear a mask in between sets and spend half my time social distancing and wiping stuff down.
What I need help with:
-What have you had success with for gaining weight while eating clean?
-Best breakfast ideas for a bulk. I have a hard time eating a lot in the morning
-Best exercises you have done with sandbags or with bodyweight exercises? What have you done with jump roping?
Here are my current stats and pics:
-Height 6'1.5
-Current weight: A flabby and horrible 209lbs

tbh i feel like if you cared enough you'd get over the annoyances at the gym and just do that rather than waste your time tickling your nuts with a sandbag all day
but if your plan was to lose weight and look/ feel better i think calisthenics would be a 10/10 plan

Honestly I want to try something new. Sick of doing the same old chit. I feel like I'll do this until I build a solid base and then can go back to the gym and start pushing heavy weights around again when they loosen up restrictions. I'm not going to do 20 rep squats and then throw on a mask dying of lack of oxygen and not being able to use the water fountains.

why not just focus hard on dropping weight and getting really damn good at calisthenics til things are less chit where you're at then when you're back in the gym you'll be in a prime position to eat like a son of a bitch and really go hard at lifting

We'll see what happens. The sandbags are heavy as fuk though. About to go workout so I'm in for hell on earth here. Might die a painful death.

If you’re fat at 209lb why would you want to go to 230? No hate. But I’d cut to at least under 15% before trying to gain.

The only thing that is fat on me is my lower tummy. That's my main fat storage spot sadly.
Trust me if I hit it hard I won't be fat as I slowly bulk up to 230.
