Pretty close to cancelling Amazon Prime

It's a really chitty service for the money and their customer service is getting chitty. The benefits are mediocre at best, their streaming service sucks for everything besides new movie rentals which is not even a part of prime, and their shipping has become really slow.

I cancelled it almost a year ago. Walmart online orders is free shipping I think always. But if you buy $40 worth, it's free 2 day shipping. If you buy $50 it's next day. And their pricing on the same stuff is usually less. And you don't have to pay for a fukcing membership


I still buy from Amazon, but am not prime. $25 is free shipping, but they take weeks to ship it. I don't give a flying fukc about amazon movies and tv shows, I just wanted fast shipping.

Yeah I get faster shipping with Walmart and Best Buy for free these days, Amazon has really slowed down in my area and it's uncommon for me to get quick deliveries anymore. It's just like I am really not getting chit for my $120 a year, and I honestly prefer to ship elsewhere most of the time. They suck for games now and outside of small/unusual things it seems like most stuff is better bought elsewhere. That and their streaming service has nothing that I care for outside of The Grand Tour which hasn't released a new episode all year.

I bought an $800 computer from amazon. It said delivered in "secure location". I looked all over and there was no package. I talked to customer service and they told me to file a police report and get back to them with the report number and they'll be able to help me. I talked to the police and they said since I never had possession of the item there is nothing they can do since it wasn't technically stolen, it was just never delivered to me. I told amazon that and they said to wait a bit because sometimes the driver scans it as delivered before it's actually delivered and they forget to deliver it. A week later I contacted them again and they told me to do the same thing with the police report. I told them what the police said and they said there is nothing they can do without a police report. **** Amazon

Damn customer service has really changed. My bro bought a big screen TV (60"?) and had a similar thing happen. Said delivered, no delivery. They have cameras and verified no delivery. They sent another one. 2 weeks later, he gets the original one he ordered as well. Lol.

To be fair, I ordered a tiny cast iron "wok" that cost $90. They sent me a much larger wok that cost $190. I actually told them that because I am honest and wanted the smaller wok (portions), They told me I can send the wrong order back or just keep it and buy again what I actually wanted.


That was years ago though. Not sure if 2012, but ya, they changed.
