Brotein (misc lifters)

What is your preference on protein intake?
.8g, 1g, 1.5g per pound? I just started tracking cals and macros this year and was sort of surprised to see that I get about 225-250g a day just by eating “normally”.

A more accurate measure is to calculate protein requirement by amount of LBS in terms of lean-body weight.
Because the fat a person carries doesn't require chit.

So if you're 200LBS 17%, your lean body mass = 166LBS.
I'd say 1-1.2g / LBS of Lean body mass is enough as I'm making pretty sick (beginner) gains on it.

But perhaps you need more if more advanced

Do you also weigh your chit after it dries to see how much you metabolize and calculate the lost macros as a result of the thermic effect of food on the body? Lol.

You did provide some good perspective, I just don’t think it is necessary to get that involved. I have had some pretty satisfactory results without being that detailed. Just my personal anecdote.

1.4-1.5g per pound is about what I get too. Most people say it’s too much but idk seems to work fine for me
