Go straight into “cutting” calories?

My diet went to crap when quarantine started and I put on unwanted fat. I have been yo yo dieting. Some days low calories other days I go super high and eat a bunch of junk (mainly weekends). So I’m lost on how to approach this and wanted some tips misc. Also any advice on cardio?

Consistency. If the weekend hinges are because you go too low on the other days, up the cals to a regular 3-500 cal cut and just be consistent with it.

If you like and have time for cardio, it has great health benefits, but I generally don’t take it into account either way when I cut. You really can’t determine precisely how much you burn during the sessions, so it’s best to just take it for what it is and not try and eat those cals back. Just treat it as a little extra help.

Thanks for the reply bro. My binges are usually caused by boredom so maybe on the rest days I can do some light walking for 45 min just to keep myself occupied. I only plan to lift 3x per week. I’m guessing my maintenance is 2600-2800...so I’ll start 2200-2300?
