this stops trolls, spam accounts and makes your account unique, cuz if you get banned, you can't get another one cuz u would need another SIN

A common argument against this is privacy.
Korea does not display the SIN of their citizens in game, nor is it easily accessible, and if you're using social media you're already offering a lot of your info for the social media company anyways

This allows for companies to easily check what u post online, (similar to that of a security check for new employees)
--> Cons of this is that if you're political a certain way, you may be turned away

It enforces proper posting, cuz future employers will see, this also makes ppl less likely to troll, they only have one account. Easier to find ppl who defame, lie or do bad things on social media b/c gov can search the SIN connected to it


It's like cars when they first came out and became popular, there were no regulations or laws. We need to regulate social media b/c too many autistic voices that purposely try to do harm

Most of the time for Koreans most SSN already have an account for major popular games, and I assume the same would be true for popular social media platforms
