Why is age so important in dating for people under 30?

For example if I as a 25 year old were to date/smash an 18/19 year old some people would think I'm a creep or a loser, even 3-4 years age gap is a deal breaker to some people.

Yet if a 47 year old is seeing a 40 year old no one bats an eye lid.

I have a friend who's same age as me and he said he doesn't like girls under 25 because they're immature lol, but you can get that at any age.


Personally I couldn't give a fuk about age as long as they're legal and I'm attracted to them.
