Anyone ever think of a joke, but you have to use it in a certain context... but then you cant find the right time so you just, say it anyway and force it, and thereby ruining the joke?

Idk if this counts but one time I was packing a bong with my fwb and she took a few hits before sex. I packed it up again and then changed my mind and said “no I think we’re good. Not tryin to Bill Cosby ya.”

She FLIPPED the fuk out because she’s bipolar and has a rape story like every other goddamn girl out there. I couldn’t talk myself out of it for the life of me. “I said I WASN’T trying to Bill Cosby you!” and she goes “Really Andrew, a fukking rape joke? Are you serious??” And I said “it wasn’t a rape joke, it was a drugging joke.” And she says “Oh you mean the drugging that lead to the raping?” And I was just dead in the water at that point. Had to basically coddle her and let her cry through nearly a half a roll of toilet paper. Didn’t get my dick wet that night to say the least but she eventually got over it and sh!t lasted a few more months until I ended it.

I get that it was an insensitive joke but I 100% didn’t mean it like that and she fukking knew it but probably used it against me to her advantage because she loves being coddled and feeling sorry for herself.
