anyone recover from lower back tightness?

if so, what did you do to fix it? I'm going to try out DeFranco "limber 11" and see if it works..Also, maybe see a physiotherapist.

Yes but I’ve tried numerous times and can’t find the video. I haven’t seen anyone else suggest this stretch.

It’s primarily caused (for me anyway but I believe most people) the muscle under the glutes that runs from the center of your tailbone area down to the mid/side of your flute area.

It’s a stretch and then some pressure.

I’ll try to explain.

Get down on all fours. Hook one foot behind your opposite knee pit from behind. Keep everything square. Then with an arched back, lean back and to the side of the leg that’s hooking that opposite knee pit. Going more to the side gives you more of a stretch.

Do both sides a few times.

Then turn over and with a lacross ball you’re going to hit three pressure points that knot up on this muscle. (I have seen videos of one of these)

So you’ll start just outside of your tailbone, just below waist level but kind of above glutes. You should actually feel it. Leave your body weight on it and don’t roll around for about 30 second. Then move it about an inch or so further to the outside of the body, same thing, then and inch or two more almost on the side of your butt. This area gets VERY tight for me so you should definitely feel this one. Same thing just let your weight do the work. This should help remove knots/tightness.

I hope that helps.

Just an FYI if anyone has the video it’s some 50 something looking pt guy in jeans lol. But he shows anatomy and explains everything really well. Major reps for that video.
