Man died of injuries suffered when his dog attacked him during seizure

A man with epilepsy died after being attacked by his pet dog when he suffered a seizure, a coroner has ruled.

Jonathan Halstead, 35, collapsed in his bedroom at his home in Oldham in January, the hearing was told.

His father, medics and police were unable to get into the room due to the aggression of his dog Bronson, the court heard.

The dog was shot dead by police and Mr Halstead was pronounced dead at the scene
