Panama. I've got in-laws down there that own the side of a mountain. Spent 2 weeks down there a few years back, up in the interior on a coffee farm...almost didn't come back to the states.

I've been to Colombia maybe 10 times over the last 5 years, and they are some of the best people in the world. Central America is fun for degenerate things, but it really just isn't that great of a place. Brazil is fun, but culturally something is missing compared to the rest of Latin America. Plenty of friendly people, but overall not as outgoing or friendly.

I'm hopefully headed to Brazil and Argentina in December, and I'm excited to expand my Latin American horizons.

Strong this.

I lived in Bogota for a few months and made my way to the coast. It's so much better than the central part of the country. Women are absolute hnnnnngggggggg. They're also more laid back and it's safer out there(within reason, it's still Colombia).

Santa Marta > Cartagena but it's really difficult for most tourists to get there unless you speak the language.

I'd probably move to Argentina though. It's more comparable to US living and is safer.

There's street crime all over Latin America though, so stay safe brahs.

Yeah, I actually agree here. Santa Marta is kinda sketchy for a small city at times, but it does have Taganga right there as well as easy access to Tayrona and Minca and other items.

Eh, Santa Marta is a big tourist destination now for Colombians and has its own nice airport. It actually really easy to get to and quite accessible.

On RC, but I never felt "unsafe" in Santa Marta, I definitely liked the smaller city feel over the business of Cartagena, I'm big on sea food so it was great!

It has sketchy parts but like I said, I've never felt unsafe there, was drunk all throughout the night lmao

Honestly though, if I had to move to some third world country, it would probably be some random island in Indonesia, not SA, I really enjoyed staying on Nusa Lembongan

Chile, Uruguay, or Colombia. Chile/Uruguay for the economics, Colombia for the hnnnnnnnnnnnngg

People saying Argentina must be unaware of the political situation down there. Otherwise it'd be at the top of my list.
