The average person is dumb af

Been scrolling on Twitter and other social media and I am just appalled at the amount of people lacking common sense. No one thinks for themselves nowadays, everyone just follows some sort of narrative they heard online. It’s so easy to identify who has a below average IQ it’s actually embarrassing how common it is.

Anyone else feel like the population has turned just straight retarded in the last few years? Swear it hasn’t always been like this. Did they put something in our water or what?

What do u mean? I get what ur saying kinda, that’s why I used intelligent instead of smart, I know smart people in school who hit books hard and score great results in tests but they’re dumb as rocks in their day to day life, I also know drug dealers who dropped out who are very intelligent and know how life and stuff works.

If you set your scope to the current US population, the average person will still have the average IQ within that scope.

Except that they don’t? I posted facts, and even if it’s 2 IQ levels below that still proves my point that the average person is dumber than expected.

Most people are NPCs, regardless of iq. I will agree though those with high iq ( + 140 ) have less chances of being NPCs.
But most "smart" people are around iq120. That's what I call Intelligence purgatory. You are smart enough to understand some things about our condition but too stupid to see the bigger picture.
I honestly feel bad for those. They are on the verge of being actually smart, they think they are smart and they are compared to the average person but they are trapped by their own condition.
120-130 iqs I've met think they're smart and are arrogant. Lower and higher iqs usually don't suffer from this problem. They either know they're not smart because they know they're stupid respectively they know they're not smart because they they're smart enough to understand that there's too much stuff to learn and understand to call yourself smart.

The two point difference can originate from a combination of two factors: dumbing down of the population since the last IQ adaptation or local scope. What it cannot originate from is that within a certain scope and timeframe, the average person has a below average IQ. The average person within a certain scope will always have the average IQ within that scope. By definition of the term 'average'.

So I looked up average IQ in the entire world but I wasn’t able to find a result since it just shows me Asian locations such as Singapore having an average IQ of 107, followed by China with 105 and Hong Kong with 105 too.

But I assume most of us are not Asian here so we can disregard those results right? Going by western countries, (which btw is where these dumb arguments are originating online are from) that the average person is below the average IQ.

Do you agree?

I agree to the 2 point difference of the current US population in relation to the last established IQ score. The current average of US population seems to be 98. So the average US person has the average IQ (within the US) of 98.

Except that the average is 100. So the average US brah is actually dumber. And I'm Canadian and we have 99 as a nation wide average so I'm not trynna hate on y'all, we literally fall behind too. I'm just trynna say that every person I encounter online (not on misc surprisingly) is fuking dumb.

A dumb person can just go online to any echo chamber that supports their narrative so they will always think they are smart srs

"Intelligence" is an interaction between the brain, body and environment. We are building a more stupefying environment so yes, intelligence is being lowered at the average.

Most talk about IQ is committing the "mind projection fallacy" .Google it. Humans do not have a physical property of IQ like they have a physical property of height or weight. This is a terrible mistake to make that pervades our entire society.

I think it is to the point many people would say that if you read 300 non-fiction books you are not getting "smarter" because that would have no change in your IQ. If you get a masters from Stanford in computer science you did not get any smarter. You just went through the motions that reflect your IQ of how smart you already are. This line of thought is so ****ing dumb.
