I miss my dad.
he loved me. I am in great pain having to know for the rest of my life all the bad things i've done to him. I feel like crying srs. It's been about 9 years now since he's gone. I feel like I could have prevented things. but no.

Hey OP - I also lost my dad 9 years ago, I also wasn't the ideal son and did things I regret. I have my own son now, and I realise that no matter what he does, no matter how much he ****s up in the future.. I will always believe in and love him. Your dad wouldn't want you regretting things you did a decade + ago as a youngster.

Feels.
My dad was diagnosed with dimentia 2 years ago and now has just pretty much given up. Watching him fade away, fall apart and become somebody I don't know and who really doesn't even know himself if hard AF...especially because he's only 63. At the rate he's going, with his declining health, and lack of give a chit about anything, he'll be gone soon and I don't know how to feel. I spent the last 2 years out of the country and only saw him 2 times and before that he was kind of a raging a-hole and nobody really know why so we kind of avoided him and now I feel like the a-hole and wish I could get that time back.
Sorry about your loss op. We're all gonna make it.

He loved his son no matter what, and I think he still does and is watching over you. *bow*

Been about 13 years since mine passed. I really don't think of him much. Over time you will get over whatever stuff happened between you guys
Mine literally decided to commit suicide after a conversation we had went bad... and I moved on over that guilt.. you can too

I really like spending time with my dad. He fell into some bad stuff I needed to look out for, and it hurts to see him fall apart when I cannot even spend time with him. I do not care if he loses some abilities. still would love to stick with him. A single mother remarried him and keeps trying to milk his estate to pay for her kids since she does not work, has no skills and saved no money. So, any efforts I make remotely end up sabatoged from those people trying to manipulate his money away.

It is tough hey?
Just lost mine early this year to a rare cancer. Just fkked.
Some days a guy can just cry. But that’s not what he’d want. Get on, and make life happen. You’re a man.
