Any other MISCERS don’t drink like they used to?

Had a couple of Moscow Mules last night and I didn’t even enjoy them. Don’t like beer. Don’t like anything on the rocks. Mixed drinks are too sweet.

I think I’ll stick to seltzer’s like White Claw.

Is OP a *******?

Yes, yes you are.

But to answer your thread topic, I basically spent like 80% of my 20's in a drunken stupor, started chilling out around 28-29 but didn't fully settle down until I met my wife and the relationship got real. She didn't ask me to slow down or anything, but just having a solid life partner took away a lot of the negative chit that was motivating me to drink. Plus got a lot more serious about lifting around that time and hate trying to get a good workout in hungover.

Now when I drink it's because I want to and not to try and cover up or forget about all the bad chit in my life. Much more enjoyable than getting absolutely blasted multiple times a week.

i neurologically or biologically don't have the ability to drink like i used to cause of my concussion. used to be able to drink mickeys of whiskey in a night. now a single sip has me ****ed for 3 days. i'm pro alcohol though. just some people can't handle their alcohol and do stupid **** or don't do **** at all. like look at the japanese, they drink and enjoy every night but are dedicated hard workers. that's the way to go

I used to drink a bottle of vodka, or 15 pints in a night at university so yes I drink less but I still like to drink.

As I got older it became more difficult to bounce back after a night of getting after it. There's nothing worse than trying to function at work brutally hungover. Another thing that got real old real fast was always worrying if I did or said something really stupid or offensive while I was hammered. Looking at my phone the next day to see if I texted some old gf with some dumb chit. Booze makes you do some incredibly stupid things that you wouldn't even think of doing sober. Don't get me wrong, I'll still have a cocktail or a couple of beers every so often but nothing in the same galaxy of what I used to do.
