Explainer for bluecoats (though i would hope it’s fairly obvious)

If he touches the boundary rope or outside of it with the ball it’s six runs..
Doesn’t need a glove either

Just a huge talent pool in cricket, this was a great game last night as well highest run chase in this league ever. Perhaps if you had cricket instead of rounders in your life you wouldn’t be on silly marches shooting each other

ball is heavier, harder, delivered just as quickly and moves off the pitch as well as through the air. Scoring is far quicker. No gloves..

I just dont see how baseball measures up, and I've watched enough to understand it

I don't doubt that, it's just a personal preference at the end of the day. MLB bat is 1/2 the width of a cricket bat on the same size ball making strikes far more difficult on a similarly sized ball. 360 degrees of fair play in cricket (compared to baseball's 90 degrees) make incidental strikes potentially legitimate plays. Taking the wicket as a bowler immediately retires a batter-- one good bowl. MLB pitchers have to throw at least thrice to retire every batter. Homeruns are at a minimum 1 run and a maximum of 4. Sixing in cricket (on a comparably struck ball all other things being equal-ish) is overrewarded.

I could go on, but those are just some of the big ones. Not talking chit on cricket, I enjoy watching it from time to time.

EDIT: will agree that bowling in cricket is awesome

I have, it's just not for me, i guess we're all different. I live 5 mins away from Kent (St Lawrence) cricket ground lol.

I like to go watch cricket with my collegues and friends sometimes, but it's mostly because they want to go rather than I do, and it's on my doorstep... i enjoy the atmosphere, and drinking with friends, but I don't actually enjoy watching cricket, and i'd never choose to watch if it was on the telly, for example. I just find it too slow and tedious.
