This is awful. Endomorphs have always delighted me. The fat is packaged differently on a sumo athlete, as it isn't in the viscera. I would have expected him to survive.

My friend got myocarditis from covid and ended up with a pacemaker. He is under 40 years old.

To the others, covid can cause hypercoagulability thus the reason for the MI. It’s hard to argue that this isn’t a covid death.

Yeah this is common with lots of viruses like the flu and common cold. Time to shut it all down permanently until there's a vaccine for all viruses.
Many viruses are commonly associated with myocarditis, including the viruses that cause the common cold (adenovirus); COVID-19; hepatitis B and C; parvovirus, which causes a mild rash, usually in children (fifth disease); and herpes simplex virus.
Looks like herpes too, better mandate condoms 24/7. Better to be safe right?

The studies I saw showed young people developing Myocarditis even if they only had mild covid symptoms. The good thing is this stuff can clear up on its own over the course of some months, the bad thing is it can cause sudden heart attacks if you physically exert yourself and don't know you've developed it.

IMO if you've had Covid and taken a break from the gym you should get doctors clearance before going back.

It's a rare heart condition linked to numerous causes, not just Covid.


Causes
Often, the cause of myocarditis isn't identified. Potential causes are many, but the likelihood of developing myocarditis is rare. Potential causes include:

Viruses. Many viruses are commonly associated with myocarditis, including the viruses that cause the common cold (adenovirus); COVID-19; hepatitis B and C; parvovirus, which causes a mild rash, usually in children (fifth disease); and herpes simplex virus.

Gastrointestinal infections (echoviruses), mononucleosis (Epstein-Barr virus) and German measles (rubella) also can cause myocarditis. It's also common in people with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS.

Bacteria. Numerous bacteria can cause myocarditis, including staphylococcus, streptococcus, the bacterium that causes diphtheria and the tick-borne bacterium responsible for Lyme disease.
Parasites. Among these are such parasites as Trypano**** cruzi and toxoplasma, including some that are transmitted by insects and can cause a condition called Chagas disease. This disease is much more prevalent in Central and South America than in the United States, but it can occur in travelers and in immigrants from that part of the world.
Fungi. Yeast infections, such as candida; molds, such as aspergillus; and other fungi, such as histoplasma, often found in bird droppings, can sometimes cause myocarditis, particularly in people with weakened immune systems.
Myocarditis also sometimes occurs if you're exposed to:

Medications or illegal drugs that might cause an allergic or toxic reaction. These include drugs used to treat cancer; antibiotics, such as penicillin and sulfonamide drugs; some anti-seizure medications; and some illegal substances, such as *******.
Chemicals or radiation. Exposure to certain chemicals, such as carbon monoxide, and radiation can sometimes cause myocarditis.
Other diseases. These include disorders such as lupus, Wegener's granulomatosis, giant cell arteritis and Takayasu's arteritis.

The NFL’s chief medical officer, Dr. Allen Sills, told reporters on a conference all earlier this month that all league players who contract COVID-19 are being thoroughly tested for potential serious post-coronavirus ailments or complications, such as myocarditis.

A league source on Friday told Postmedia that no player who has had COVID-19 since has been found to have myocarditis.

Are you legit retarded? First off linebackers are built, DT's are not, The study you linked wasn't from the NFL, and it involves college athletes, male and female from multiple sports not football.
From your study: "COVID-19-related myocardial injury in competitive athletes and sports participation remains unclear."
