Why do people feel compelled to embellish their stories and lives?
Went to a guys place and he kept talking about how exotic some of the items in his house was. He also showed me around and kept on floating about how spacious the place is and how high the ceiling is. I felt bad for him as he was a manlet who clearly is living beyond his means... the ceiling was quite low to be honest ... and he also placed all of his values (or whatever it is manlets have in their souls) into the same thing as instathots do.
The guy was in his 40’s and acting like a kid who got a new toy finally.
Smh at people who are so misguided.

"The manlet is a savage beast that knows no moral bound. After falling in disgrace to a manmore, a ravaged manlet would not hesitate to come from behind and land a sucker punch/ swing with a rock to the back of a manmore's head. They are ruthless and you need to spend some more time in the gutter to even begin trying to comprehend what goes on in their minds."
Hurt by the aleeboy and need to cope? Go here for hugs: https://forum.obnoxiousbrutes.com/showthread.php?t=178724011

Srs though I know people like this it’s so sad. Nothing wrong with having things but when you start buying literally truckloads of kids toys and storing them in your basement you’re on a whole new plane.

I need more examples, seems only “high ceiling” bare qualifies as bragging. Which items are rare? I’m curious, manlet brains are wired different, in a one man’s trash is another man’s treasure sort of way.

Successful people don’t. Most successful folks I know barely ever show off, they know who they are or are just too busy building a fake image when they know they live it in reality. The poor and average do it the most to make a fake life on social media because they failed in real life. So they post the happiest moments to impress others or buy **** they can’t afford to show off to their friends.

I have a shelf of all items I've collected over the years from all the places I've been. Makes for good conversation, and people always ask where each one is from. My latest edition is a 4" high veiny wooden dink from Thailand, srs.

to feel important when you listen and believe their stories. its a compulsion, they can't just be happy just being themselves they need to brag and show off. It gets sadder the older they get.

It's the social media effect. People spend hours looking at other peoples' highlight reels and think this is normal. Therefore, to be "cool" or "interesting", you can't just talk about how mundane your life is. You have to embellish or flat out lie about your life make yourself look good or risk losing out. It's even worse when dudes are around girls and they're trying to impress them.
