I suggest you drive by a cemetery on your way to work

And if you don't work then do it every once in a while

The sheer futility will get you

All those people in there at some point went to work like you, sat in traffic, stressed out about finances, promotions, relationships, etc

Now they're nothing and you're passing them by doing the same things they did

And in due time you'll join them

I actually agree with gmiscer on this one. And yeah, I go to cemeteries, visit graves, and reflect on impermanence. Mono no aware, etc. not sure if we draw the same conclusions though.
