who are the most overrated musicians of your generation?

off top of my head:

Pharell Williams - good producer, never enjoyed him as a personality or singer unless he sticks to singing a chorus or supporting role on someone's track. as a stand alone artist, I think he sucks.




Jennifer Lopez - shrewd leech who used other people (and that big fat ass) to further her career. mediocre talent, doesn't sing on lots of her own songs and using vocals from other people milli vanilli style, and aside from dancing really doesn't have much to offer




Bruno Mars - can admit he is talented but I hate his music and it's basically stealing the style from the 90's hip hop and RnB which was much better than anything he's produced.

Most all that can be classified under pop (this includes a lot of rap/hip hop too). If you can only sing and play power chords on a guitar and write elementary level lyrics.......bad news for ya

Most garbage you hear on this 'top 40' or whatever nonsense. Most of the billboard trash. Overrated. Most are not artists in any sense of the word, but entertainers. They craft a product meant to sell to a specific target market to make the labels as much money as possible.

Once in a while a talented person breaks into the mainstream, but it's rare.
