200k Corona Death vs Your Feels

In 2017, an average of 7,708 deaths occurred each day

So 7700 x 356 Days = 2,741,200

Divide by 1/2 for 6 months, how long corona has been going on and = 1,370,600 Deaths in 6 months on average

So why am I supposed to give a fuk about 200k 80+ year olds dying in the last 6 months?

I predicted from the beginning that coronavirus would have a net neutral effect on global death numbers in 2020.

I believe the precautions taken to avoid kung flu will help avoid other diseases too and result in a wash.

Heart disease would have likely killed these same people anyway looking at these statistics. They are old as fuk already. Old people die, its what they do.

This is actually really good to know, I had not gotten around to looking up how many deaths there are on an average year. Most of the COVID deaths are displacing deaths of other causes. 65% of covid deaths are >85 years old. they would have died of something else in the same year.

Its very likely that 2020 will not have any change in the overall death rate at all.

1. no, go look at the percentages of people with other conditions, nearly zero of the deaths are from healthy people, it is displacing deaths from other categories

2. theyve spread that as a fear tactic for months, how would we know when it is so new? there are other viruses very similar, i never hear about people being permanently disabled because they had SARS 15 years ago.

Are there any hard numbers up for total deaths in 2020? Probably not since those are tallied after the year ends. I'm curious to see if there's an additional 200k+ deaths beyond what's normal for a year. If there's a sudden dip in heart disease deaths and other high causes the whole situation is going to look like an overreaction.
