Watching the DORIAN YATES Joe Rogan PODCAST.

It came out about 3 years ago. Really starting to realize now how alpha Dorian Yates was and is.

His dedication and training intensity is mind boggling. One of the hardest workers and humble. He never looked for external validation.

Now you look at guys like Phil Heath, dude is talented but so entitled, and kind of a D-BAG.

Dorian and Arnold are def two of my favorites of all time. Ronnie is amazing too. But Dorian does not follow bro science. He’s very knowledgable and most of his advice can be applied to natural lifters as well.

Also i love his lifting philosophy on short but intense workouts. I believe in training to failure like yates. Not long workouts but intense ones.

Didn't Yates fuk his body up so bad he can't even do a pushup now? Plus he bagged some gold digging trophy wife? He's an inspiring guy sure, but not the best decision maker.

To be fair, most from that era are completely f*cked or dead.

His era was the peak of bodybuilding. It was the last era without ugly bloated guys. Dorian was the pinnacle of the arnold style physique.

Most bodybuilders fukked themselves up. It comes with the territory. Or as jason genova says “what comes around comes around”

Dorian Yates is a smart man though. I’m sure he learned from it.

Dorian is in great shape now. Still lifts weights and looks good for an old guy. Says he does like 10 miles a day of cardio or something like that. He held up a lot better then most retired bodybuilders.

Yeah, mostly because of his intelligence.
