Whn i went to college a kid died in the freshman dorms from alcohol poisoning just before my class arrived so there was a massive crackdown in dorm partying. The only way to be social was to be in sports and club sports. I hadnt played football and you cant just walk onto a college football team but i had played rugby in middle school and there was a club rugby team so they were one of the sports i joined. On my third game one of their forwards a huge guy got the ball and brokeaway and was sprinting for the endzone. I was playing full back i made it over to his path and he was bearing down on me. Honestly there was a flash of hesistation where i was thinking holy **** are you ****ing kidding me. But we had drilled against everyone in practice and i just held my ground and speared him as hard as i could he tried to run right through me. My spear hardly moved him but i had got my arms wrapped around him and pulled him down. He went down pretty hard i ended up rolling on top of him and arrogantly as i climbed off i pressed my elbow down onto his head. He got mad yelled and tried to punch up at me but i was already too far

I mean if he could get his hands on me no doubt. If I'm lined up at linebacker distance I'd say I'd have a good shot at not letting him put his hands on me or maybe he's a freak and I'd be finished before it ever started. I sure wouldn't want to line up against him in Oklahoma drills

Thread title says “you’re lined up against” therefore you’d be a defensive end and wouldn’t be where a linebacker is lol

Try to be quick and go around him he will push you down and lay on top of you 10/10 times, probably would be the best death against him
