kn95 masks any good for smoke?

N95 is really only good for reducing your intake of pollen outdoors (if you were trying to desensitize yourself). If you're trying to block particles from being breathed in, doesn't make sense to buy anything less than N100 or P100. They filter out 99.97 of airborne particles.
