What do you guys do with your used tires?

I change my own tires since I have access to the hydraulic/pneumatic equipment that makes it super easy.

Apparently, there is a tire recycle fee incorporated into the cost of the new tires, so a shop charging you that extra money to do it is just them pocketing money.

The mechanic who told me that simply recommended just dropping off the used tires at a tire shop after hours. It seems dishonest, but I feel like I could maintain integrity if in fact I already did pay the recycle fee.

What do you guys do? Just pay the shop that changes them extra to take the old ones?

You either pay them or pay to take them to the dump. Depending on how bad they are and used tire place will resell them so dropping them off is more like donating them. Great idea...I’m doing that next time.

Up to you, the mechanic will try to sell those used tires and make some money off it. The trade off is he has to store them now.
Do you want big ass tires taking place in your garage? I don't. I let them have it.

Funny thing is I am getting new tires on monday. My dad is in the car business so he has the hookup. But the guy who does work on my car just drops them off at a retailer or something after hours exactly what you buddy told you. srs. Otherwise places have a fee whether it be a tire recycling facility or like a junk removal service/place.

Otherwise Idk what you could do with them.

yea that sounds like a good idea. or you could try filling them with concrete, then taking them over to your enemies house in the middle of the night and throwing them through their front window

if they have a car parked out front try putting one through the windshield.
