The gloves make boxing more dangerous, they allow you to punch harder, the gloves are not there to protect the other guy's face, they're there to protect your hands.

Tyler Goodjohn was a boxer before going to bareknuckle and then also quit that to become a pornstar. Also these guys would get wrecked in UFC, gloves or not. Can they take a hit? Sure. Do they have balls for stepping in there and swinging? Sure, but come on man, this wasn't even all that impressive and the idea that gloves are soft or make you soft is stupid.
