Men and women being friends compared to men and gay men

This may be the first topic I started and it is to ask this profound question. . .

Most guys agree that in most opposite gender friendships (not someone you talk to at work or your neighbor) there is some sexual interest on the guys part.

Do gay men have this issue? It seems to me they have it made. They have the option to hang out with people that they would already want to hang out with and don't have to deal with the only hanging out for the chance of sex part. Unless it is the opposite where they just hang out with everyone hoping for sex, but feel like an outsider.

The potentially gay bartender thread made me think about all the gay men I encountered that treated every fit twenty something guy as a potential conquest at first sight.
