How big do you need to be...? (Srs)

To look jacked with a well fitted tee or shirt on?

I’m 5”11, 198lbs at the moment, cut down from 210lbs (around 20% body fat) recently and am already feeling like a skinny bitsch in clothing.

My initial goal was to cut down to 180lbs at 10-12% body fat but I’m starting to think that might not be what I truly want.

As a natural are you gonna look small in clothing no matter what if you want to maintain low bf%? Or will I magically look bigger in clothing at 180lbs 10-12% than 200lbs+ at 20%?

Had a scan done and 47% of my weight is skeletal muscle mass, which I believe is pretty good.

Natties are paper thin on cuts...

If your looking to have that "3D" look when you cut and low bodyfat, then dat dere is the only way SRS

But this is all in context mate. To the average population, just having shoulders and lats even at 20+% body fat will be seen as "big". But if your looking to actually look big to people who know what to look for... then best hope on that bicycle and start riding papi.SRS

You are fatter than you think.
I’m 6’, 190 lbs ~11% bf.

I’ll do a mini bulk in october and then a cut down to 8-10% afterwards.

It’s very easy to tell, that I look like I lift in clothes.

It’s usually:

- Big
- Lean
- Natty

^Pick two.

Thing is, we live in an autistic gymcel bubble where 6’ 185 lean is considered DYEL. Yet to the general public, that’s a jacked, muscular man.

This is largely due to:

- Too many people drinking dat dere fake natty koolaid....believe it or not there are people out there who truly believe Simeon Panda, Ulisses Jr and Mike O Tren are natty. There are probably a dime a dozen fake natties on this very site contributing to the problem

- E stats. Miscers claiming 6’4 250 6% natty without pics. Benched 405 in high school etc. the usual BS that noobs eat right up.

Also worth nothing:

- Skewed perceptions. Plenty of big guys on YouTube who look DYEL to our weird niched gymcel community but if you see them in person they’re thick, have size etc. then you see Athlean X at 6% bodyfat on the YouTubez but then you realise he weighs a buck 170 at 5’11.

Tl;dr

To the real world’s perception, you can get big and lean. To our weird bigorexia fake natty gymcel community, you need to hop on dat dere otherwise your options are big-fat or ripped-DYEL

lean enough with a tight shirt, and it's easy. Make sure your proportions look right.

Pretty much this lol. But if you're doing it for anyone but yourself that's completely retarded.

No one actually cares about how big you are or what you look like. Being 170s relatively lean is definitely respectable.

This is what I’m aiming to look like in a shirt.

Possible at 5”11, 180, 10-12%?

I've looked better than this while lighter. Just shop at the right places. Buy a custom slim ralph lauren shirthttps://www.ralphlauren.com/men-clot.../CYO0020C.htmlif you do not lift and still want to look like you compete in Mr. Olympia.

lol how can I be fatter than I think when I know my exact bf% and body composition? I know I’m too fat at just under 20%, hence the cut.

Was just wondering if I would look more jacked in a shirt once I got down to that 180, 10-12% range, because after cutting from 210lbs to 198lbs it doesn’t really seem like it so far.

Thanks for all the input brahs!

The fact that you believe you know your exact bf% tells me your new to this, and I’m assuming you took some form of test or scan to get your exact bf%?
Those test can easily be 5% off.

If cutting right now makes you 10% bf, 180 lbs at 5’11 then you shouldn’t look too soft and should look like you lift in a t shirt right now, imo.
