good trick i found to fix any neck issues is to stand flush against a wall and push your chin down you should feel a good stretch

Happens all the time to me, I mean once in every few years, that means over 25 times inmy relatively short life, hehe.

About benching feet, hips and neck position with lower back arch, you can't be perfect in form every time, especially you are a "to-failure" lifter.

It's a sign for a deload, with "not-to-failure" approach, a short calculated period of recovery.

Though mine was always like a twisted neck pain from sleeping wrong, uknowhatimean,

if you think it's truly unusual then you'd better see a doctor otherwise it'll be fine in a week or two.

Hey take care and get well soon, m'friend.

BTW, neck pain is always severesecond only to a pain in the ass.

Like kaz I’ve dealt with this many times over the years, once pretty severe very recently actually. I was in pain for almost 4 weeks, then I trapped a nerve in my wrist and my arm was half paralyzed for 8 weeks.

Only just recovering now, do what kaz said.
